I am sure that we are all busy looking for the perfect gift for our family and friends.  When I was a little girl, our neighbors down the road gave me a cowgirl suit (I could not have been more than three or four years of age).  The Middlebrook family had several older children and my sister and I were the "special pets" that the family catered to.

Well, this was certainly the perfect gift for this little "tom boy" that lived on a farm near Dickens, Texas.  This family made sure that I would have a gift that brought me happiness and pleasure.

The Bible tells us that over two thousand years ago, a holy perfect gift was sent from heaven to bring great joy and happiness.  In fact, an angel appeared to a young virgin named Mary and said that she would have a Son and His Name would be called Jesus, for He would save His people from their sins.

This wonderful free gift from heaven is also talked about in Luke 1:78, 79.  "Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace."
