Trusting in Him - By Pat Stanton

Do you have trust and confidence in the Lord.  Have you entrusted your future, family, and life into His hands?

Do you have trust and confidence in the Lord.  Have you entrusted your future, family, and life into His hands?  "Trust in the Lord and do good;...Commit (roll off onto) your way to the Lord, trust also in Him" (Psalm 37:3,5).

What does this word trust mean as it was written in the original Hebrew?  This word means to:  have confidence, to entrust, to confide in, have hope and to be sure and secure.

It also is:

1.  A place of refuge and boldness

2.  The feeling of security and safety

3.  A strong reliance and confidence that gives hope and peace

How do you get trust?  "And we having such trust through Christ toward God" (2 Corinthians 3:4).  You cannot have a trust in God without Christ living in your life.  You must go through Jesus the Son to have the life of the Father.

We can easily see that trust and faith go together.  "Now faith is the evidence or confidence of things hoped or trusted for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).  The Lord wants to remind us that as we daily live close to His word and life then our faith and trust will rest on Him.
