Plans for Peace - By Pat Stanton - Part 3

The Bible stresses that there are many things that we can do to keep our spiritual and mental sanity.  We are told that "presumption" brings strife; when the scorner is put out, the strife ceases.  When negative talking stops, the strife always ceases.

If we do not know how to control our thinking, we will begin to suspect that someone is doing something behind our backs, or we might believe that a friend meant something evil towards us when they really did not.  Often times, parents presume that their children are getting into trouble when they are not.

I must remind you of a powerful, liberating verse in 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." If we can train ourselves to always recognize where fear is coming from, then we will be able to cast fear aside through the name of Jesus Christ, and begin to confess (say) that God has given us love, power, and a sound mind.
