The Word of God definitely reveals that we have the mind of Jesus Christ; yet why are we not experiencing this glorious truth?  In order for the mind of Jesus to become a reality in our lives it requires an act of our will toward God, desiring and requesting that our minds be completely caught up in His glory and divineness.  Also, we have to claim and appropriate this promise by asking for it, and receiving it by faith, based on God's Word.  Every promise of God must be activated within our lives by our request to the Father.  Our salvation, for example, did not become real within our lives until we stepped onto the grounds of faith.  

The mind of Jesus Christ is available to any believer who wants to think like Jesus.  Jesus' thought pattern went in only one direction - directly to the Father.  His desire was to do only the will of the Father.  As Christians, we have to ask by faith that our minds be renewed in Jesus, and base our prayer on the Word of God and the promises we have that our mind can be renewed in Him.

After we have asked for our minds to be renewed, we have to continue to claim that our minds are in Him.  We must stay in the Word, and let its truths sink deep within us.  We must remain in a state of praise to the Lord, and walk in obedience in what the Father asks us to do.  And, we need to ask often that our minds be washed in the precious blood of Jesus and cleansed and renewed by the power of His Spirit.  As we daily meditate in the Word of God, our minds are cleansed and filled with His loving presence.
