We are to be holy because of His holiness.  We will never walk in His likeness and holiness until our hearts and minds give us the command to do so.  Our minds can either direct us toward good or toward evil.  That is why it is so essential that we experience His full grace and mercy within the framework of our mind.

The following verses tell us more about the mind of Jesus, and give us a glimpse of our inheritance as a Christian to have the very mind of our Lord and Saviour.

Matthew 22:37, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."

Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

1 Corinthians 2:16, "But we have the mind of Christ."

Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Ephesians 4:23, "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind."

Philippians 2:5, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus."
