Our Father has said that we will go astray and become as a lost sheep if we do not stay close to the Shepherd, the Lord Jesus. We become prey to all the wild beasts of the world if we do not continually follow the good Shepherd. My mind is soothed and uplifted as I lay my head down at night and  know that I can rest in His sheep fold. He stands guard. His rod and staff will comfort me, and I will fear no evil because He is with me.

I choose to think on the good things of life and the fine qualities of others. I refuse to fret or complain. I will live each day joyfully and when tempted to murmur, I will remember the good that has already come my way, and I will do as the Psalmist suggested in Psalm 34:1, "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."

I will not disappoint my Father, God, who has created me with a mind that is composed of some 10 billion nerve cells, more or less alike. These brain cells interact in various ways. Each cell contributes to behavior, and presumably to mental activity by firing impulses or failing to fire.

As Christians believers, we must decide to channel all our efforts toward "Thinking Higher Thoughts". We will succeed  if we follow the advice found in the Word of God. Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

God has told us in His Word how to be happy, successful, and to live in health. He has written very clearly on each of these subjects, and it is up to us to study and become familiar with each lesson that He has given. We can live in blessing and love only to the extent of our knowledge of His blessings and love. We must adapt ourselves to His way of teaching and learning.

As we do this, our thoughts will become higher and higher as we continually look to our Heavenly Father. We must approach Him daily and receive His throne room lessons and instructions. In fact, He has told us to come boldly at any time that we choose so that we can receive His help (Hebrews 4:16).

We must never allow ourselves to think that we have outgrown the need for the daily throne visits. We should realize that our attitude must still be "as a little child" so that our kingdom living will be vital and prosperous.

The Holy Spirit brings us His mind as we take time to yield our tongues to His life and energy. We soon find that God's grace (divine energy) is flowing throughout our entire being. Our brains are stimulated with newness and vitality. Our cells are renewed with stronger impulses to resist germs and all foreign enemies of our soul area. I am a giant of a person as I relinquish my total self into the magnitutde of His tender control. The God of this universe loves me, and has designed me to live in peace and harmony with His created people.

I will not allow myself to be caught up in the problems of hate, fear, or even lonliness. I will always have the care and advice of my Heavenly Father. He knows me, has designed me, and knows how to keep me running.
